The goal of the project DIVIS (Dynamic Intermodal Transport Information System) is the implementation of a congestion-free State of Hesse with a mobility information on the basis of real time data for all modes of transport. The partners Rhein--Main-Verkehrsverbund, traffiQ and ivm aim a technical and organisational linking of all relevant means of transport within the State of Hesse for an intermodal travel information system. traffiQ is responsible for the conception and tender of all linking components, being the Project Coordinator between the partners. MRK is accompanying the project. The central tasks are the drafting of the design, the preparation of the tender and its implementation.
MRK acted as the Project and System Manager for the DEFAS FGI BAYERN project from its conception via specifications and a Europe-wide call for tender, through to its initial operation. The target of the State of Bavaria was to train the Intermodal Transport Control System to generate real-time data for public transport nationwide, to build up the data pool and to deliver information to passengers via the internet and via stationary and mobile systems. The starting point for all this was the feasibility study carried out by MRK for the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology. The main focus of the client was on a modular and therefore sustainable system which will be operated by the supplier in coming years. A particular challenge was agreeing on the licensing contracts.
Several critical key points and experiences from over the centuries have required changes and have always given rise to something new. The monastery Benediktbeuern is facing serious challenges today again. A continuous decline in the number of members of the Order, high investment costs in existing buildings of the monastery and the growing scarcity of financial resources are to introduce organizational and financial challenges to the monastery and its affiliated institutions in the upcoming years.
The Salesians of Don Bosco developed a “Master plan Benediktbeuern Abbey 2025ff.” in order to develop perspectives and goals to foster its strength and long-term security. The master plan intends to ensure the monastery’s importance within Church and Society. With this purpose in mind, its objective is to guarantee that the monastery keeps being a spiritual centre and place for Salesians education, encounters and culture, especially for young people, and keeps developing its philosophy in a sustainable way.
The master plan was developed by MRK in the period going from December 2013 to May 2015. With the initiation and compilation of the Master Plan, an important milestone was reached. The visions, goals and measures that are defined in this master plan are to be implemented by 2025.
